Sometimes we have to take a break from the terrible news of the week to scrutinize mega tech companies and their decisions to being part of an industry in the confines of their bubble. Oh, and what kind of mac n cheese is your favourite?
Aside from the breaking news, it was pretty much a slow news day for the podcast. April fool'd us on Easter Sunday, and luckily the fake news wasn't as bad as it is every other day. But we still talked about, Alt-Right furries, Hotel disasters and the continuing tragedy of the Facebook CEO.
Jake comes to Michael's rescue and guests on the podcast this week. They talk gamers, gun violence and the never ending gong show that is Facebook's meddling in the social aspects of all of our lives.
Though the NewsFriends podcast is officially 2 years old. We took it easy this week and invited Kayla Isomura back onto the podcast who recently went on a trip to kiwi town. That's a funny thing to say about New Zealand I'm sure!
Though the podcast was apparently off for a week, We're sure that the cacophony of fake news plaguing the internet has kept you busy for days. In fact you're probably going to be listening to this podcast right now, wondering to yourself if anything we're talking about is real. Is it all real? are we real? Is anything real? We have 1,000 years to figure this out or humanity is doomed.
As Godfrey continues to leave us for the greener pastures of Penticton (It's green over there, yeah?) He gets to sit on the host chair and run things. But little did he know that his guests Owen and Michael are running on a severe lack of sleep. Do they get through it? (Spoilers: of course they do.)
